Peacefully Scenic Bayou with Native Wildlife

Just a few miles from Old Mandeville

we are open Saturdays and Sundays 9a till 4p

Cane Bayou is a waterway that flows into Lake Pontchartrain from the north shore. Located between Mandeville and Lacombe, Cane Bayou is the boundary between two public lands – Fontainebleau State Park to the west and Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge to the east. The proximity to New Orleans makes it an accessible getaway for those looking to enjoy some time on the water. The boundary between these two public lands likely means you'll experience a range of natural habitats and wildlife, which adds to the appeal.

“Cane Bayou- a tributary of Lake Pontchartrain is a living classroom of habitats, history of man’s activities and a recreational waterway.”
