Annual “Paddle for Preservation”

A Fundraiser for the Land Trust for Louisiana

This paddle outing is a fund raising event for the Land Trust for Louisiana (LTL), the region’s premiere organization focused on preserving and protecting valuable natural areas and agricultural lands of Louisiana for current and future generations. LTL will provide biologists and naturalists that will describe the benefits of the areas flora and fauna.


  • Annual fundraiser for the Land Trust for Louisiana
  • Advance Registration Required, even if bringing your own canoe/kayak
  • Back to the Tangipahoa River for 2017
  • Average group size is 30 paddlers
  • 10 am launch
  • No experience required.

What You Bring

  • Personal lunch and drink
  • Shoes that can get wet. If sandals preferably with straps.
  • Comfortable clothing for being active. We highly recommend also wearing a hat for sun protection.
  • Sunscreen
  • A sense of adventure

What We Bring

  • Professional and knowledgeable guides
  • Canoes and paddling equipment
  • Waterproof cases for phones or compact cameras


  • $40 per paddler
  • Child passengers can be added to the rental canoes for just $10. Child passenger must be accompiled by two paddlers
  • A $10 discount per paddler given to those providing their own canoe or kayak
