Lake
Pontchartrain Basin Foundation Outings
These outings
are provided by the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation for its members.
The intent of this adult education program is to introduce and educate members
about the variety of wetlands in the basin. During each outing, naturalists
from the Foundation's education staff will provide hands-on opportunities
to learn about the ecology of various wetlands, forests, marshes, rivers
and trails.
To
come on an outing, you need to be a member of the foundation:
To
join, visit http://www.saveourlake.org or call the Foundation at (504)
836-7119. This is the office of Maggie
Judlin who is responsible for all facets of membership. The annual fee
is $25 per person or $50 for a family. You can join in five minutes with
a
credit card. Once you are a member, there is $10 trip fee for each adult
(13 and older) who participates in an outing. This fee will be due the
morning
of the outing to the trip leader. Payment can be in cash or check.
To make a reservation, please contact Byron Almquist:
Preferably contact by e-mail
